The IDEA Management Team met representatives of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) on 28 June in Ispra, Italy.
The meeting was held to discuss inclusion of alternatives to animal testing into the quantitative risk assessment (QRA) for skin sensitization.
After outlining the most recent activities undertaken by the IDEA Project, most notably the review of the QRA methodology (QRA2) as a risk-assessment model, the two sides discussed ways of cooperating on assessment of skin sensitization.
